Those who missed out on the University College Londonâ€™s (UCL) seventh Special Grand Round on 10th October 2012 can now enjoy the entire event online. Simply download a video or audio podcast at iTunes U or view via the UCL website.
The Special Grand Rounds highlight UCL's commitment to the whole translational pathway from basic discovery through to impact on patients and population. Over 200 delegates enjoyed presentations and a panel discussion on the theme of Oral Health, focusing on basic science, clinical research and population health.
Several expert speakers taking part were from the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, including Dr Dave Spratt, Reader in Microbial Ecology, department of Microbial Diseases; Professor Jonathan Knowles, Professor of Biomaterials Science and Head of the department of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering; and Professor Nikolaos Donos, Director of Research and Head of the department of Clinical Research.
All speakers joined a panel discussion, which also featured Dr Sean Nair, Professor Brian Henderson, Professor Stephen Porter and Professor Ian Needleman. The panel was chaired by Raymond MacAllister, Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, Director, UCL Division of Medicine.
