e-Petition Prime Minister to reduce CO2 emissions for Climate Change

There is currently an online petition at the website for Number 10 Downing Street, calling on the Prime Minister Tony Blair to create a new law to reduce Carbon Dioxide emissions by 3% per year.

Petitions have long been sent to the Prime Minister by post or delivered to the door of Number 10 in person. The Number 10 website now offers the facility to both create and sign petitions online, providing the opportunity to reach a potentially wider audience and ensure petitions are delivered directly to Downing Street.

After the warmest January in 100 years and ever more extreme weather conditions being forecast around the world, scientists are now convinced that they have evidence that mankind is indeed contributing to what is happening to our climate so it is time we took action.

To add your voice to the call for action on climate change, simply visit the website and add your name to the petition.

Please note that only UK residents are permitted to sign.

This is much easier than marching to Downing Street - especially in the current climate-changing weather conditions in blustery Britain!
